Keyboard shortcuts
The whole editor is reachable from the keyboard. Ctrl and Cmd both work, on every platform.

Moving around
- Space
- Hold to pan Drag the canvas while held.

- Paste Each paste is offset from the last, so repeated pastes do not stack invisibly.

Lines and polygons
- Enter
- Finish the polygon you are drawing So does clicking its first corner again, or a double-click.

- Take back the last corner While drawing. Once the shape is finished they go back to deleting and undoing.
- Shift
- Hold for 45° steps While drawing, or while dragging an end or a corner.
- Deleteor Backspace
- Remove the selected corner Click a corner of a polygon first; its two neighbours are joined by a straight edge. A polygon keeps at least three corners.
Grouping
- Ctrl/CmdG
- Group into a frame Needs two or more selected.
- Ctrl/CmdShiftG
- Ungroup a selected frame
Escape
- Esc
- Back out, one step at a time Cancel the connector, line or polygon you are drawing → close the text box → drop back to the Select tool → let go of a selected polygon corner → clear the selection. Each press undoes exactly one thing.
The Escape ladder is the one worth knowing
Most editors treat Escape as a single cancel. Here it unwinds one step at a time, so it is safe to lean on: press it once and you cancel the connector you were dragging, again and the text box closes, again and you are back on the Select tool, again and the selection clears. You never lose more than you meant to.
